IMHO - How your Vote works

Heard on NPR this morning. A local Boston area trump supporter said that he voted for trump based on his pro-life stance but that he ( the voter ) did not support the anti-Muslim and illegal immigrant positions.

FOOL !

Our election system does not allow you to support some things about a candidate and not others. You voted for him so you support all his positions to one degree or another, everything he said and all his actions regardless of what you say. Your vote is what counts not what you do and don’t support about a candidate. If you vote for a candidate you are saying that you feel some of their positions are outweighed by others.

In simpler terms the pro-life position made the anti-Muslim position more acceptable. You traded a position you cared more about for one your cared less about.
