The Plan and the Economy

It was the 2004 election year. They had to sell an obvious idiot to a less then enthused country. They learned how to orchestrate a gathering. Strictly managing who was allowed to attend their events. Scripting everything that was said or done. They did all this to ensure that what made it into the public eye (the news services) was exactly and only what they wanted. This message was the only thing their base heard or saw. Essentially George W was a puppet made to dance by the republican party for the ends of big business, the political elite, and the secret goals of a few.

And it worked. The masses believed the fantasy that had been constructed and we had “four more years of Duchebag”... oops … (sorry, Family Guy reference) … So we suffered, politically, economically, internationally and financially. The countries reputation continued to sink and the republican agenda continued on course lining their pockets while gutting our economy. Leaving what may be the biggest mess any incoming president ever had to deal with.

Now, read the rest of this and remember what I said in an earlier post. The republicans stated (on the record) goal is to ensure that President Obama will not have a second term.

Now 3 years in people are wondering why things are not fixed. That is obvious, You can not repair something so damaged without cooperation from both parties and both houses of congress and without some serious pain. Economic cycles are generally 7 to 11 years in length. The forces involved are not quick easy things to fix. They take years to change and the republicans have not cooperated.

The republican's claims that the recovery failed are ludicrous because there simply has not been enough time to tell. We need perspective to tell if this worked or not and that means economists looking back 15 or 20 years from now will be able to say with certainty, but not now. The republicans make these claims, over and over, to discredit the president. They know that with all of them repeating the same message every chance they get, people will begin to think its true. Even if its not. Individuals are smart people are stupid.

As well even if the administration's plan is not as successful as they have hoped, infrastructure is being fixed everywhere. Things are being accomplished in small ways and big. Everywhere !

The truth here is that everything that a republican says today must be filtered through the knowledge that their goal is to derail and oust the current sitting president. EVERYTHING they do and say has this goal as the root of their actions and words.
